1960s—1970s
Exhibiting Warrior as a boy at the local shows and matches, Graham came into contact with Mrs Violet Yates of the famous Seedhill kennel of pointers and Irish water spaniels. They struck up an affinity and Graham became a great help in the kennels and travelling to shows with Violet, who in turn passed onto him her wealth of knowledge and love of both breeds.
Quadrille of five acres was purchased from Mr and Mrs Roy Harrison during this period and only exhibited lightly as Graham had introduced Dobermans to the kennels at this time and was campaigning a lovely bitch namely Surrealist of Tavey bred by Mr and Mrs Curnow of the famous Tavey kennels.
In the late seventies Graham and I met through our connection with dogs (he gave my border terrier B.I.S.) and the rest is history!!. |
